Dear Summer Diary

… All I can see is Tahno, sitting on the steps of the Probending Arena, his friends and teammates gone, holding his probending helmet and looking so lost.

And then either Korra or Bolin walks up and is all, “… Do you have somewhere to stay?”

And Tahno’s all, “Yeah.  Yeah.  Of course.”  But he remains where he is, because he’s really lying.  He’d been sharing a posh apartment with his teammates, but now they were strangers who didn’t want him around…

And, really not able to say anything else, although it was implied that they were going to take him home, Korra/Bolin just sit down next to him.

Sit down and wonder if they could have done something to help.

And then Bolin convinces Mako to let Tahno stay with them and he joins the Krew as their nonbending friend because Asami doesn’t count and he’ll have the sarcasm of Top when it came to her blindness and he’ll angst so beautifully, but still with a bit of jerkness, kinda like season 1 Zuko.
